SILER CITY - Chatham Hospital is getting a new management team along with its planned $26 million new hospital.
The hospital's board has decided to turn management of the Siler City hospital over to UNC Health Care, ending an 18-year management relationship with Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health Resources.
The move comes as the board plans a new hospital to replace its aging buildings in Siler City.
UNC Department of Family Medicine physicians already staff Chatham Hospital's 24-hour emergency room.
