I pay for schools and have no kids. So what. We pay taxes for the good of the community. And if backup is needed the sheriffs dept does help out.

Ditto Mary..no kids but pay taxes for schools. Rather do that than have an uneducated population surrounding me. I live in the county, but I value both city and county LEO. If I am in say PBO or Siler City and someone T-bones me on the road, or some other event occurs within city limits, I'm not going to pick at fish bones as to which responds to a call, it happened in the city, but I am a county resident. I have family that lives in the city/town areas and I appreciate that coverage, as well as the county coverage. As it grows around here, it will become MORE important for both and that they work in support and conjunction with one another. JMO.
