All: A group of Chatham County Republicans are meeting at the Food Lion in Pittsboro at 11:00am this Saturday, March 21st to caravan to Raleigh. We are joining thousands of other grassroots activists and Americans For Prosperity to protest not only Governor Perdue's tax hikes, but all federal bailouts, spending sprees, so-called stimulus packages, earmarks and fiscal irresponsibility in national, state, and local governments. Hope you can join us. If you can't meet us at Food Lion we will be at the NC State Capital (East Side) downtown Raleigh between 12:00-2:00. See you there. I wish I could join you, but I cant this Saturday. However I do urge everyone to email their Senators and Governor Perdue herself. I called her office this week to voice my opinion and I will warn you, her secretary is very curt. So if you ever call her office be ready to do battle. Gov. Perdue made out like we could not afford this any more. What she is doing is putting them back into their old titles of Parol officers. Sentencing services places drug users into NON_PROFIT rehabs, which keeps them out of the prison systems and no expense to the tax payers. This is only one of the many tasks that they do. I have talked to several of these men and women who sentencing services helped to place. Some of them are now counslers,ministers, some are working with youth groups to help them learn the dangers of using drugs. |
