It certainly says something about the Brewery that in spite of its flaws so many of the regular patrons are inclined to defend it so passionately Smiley

I like the Brewery.  A lot.

I had family in town on Easter weekend and we wanted to get a nice brunch after church.  I called to see if the Brewery was open, and they were.  They had a buffet, but it cost something like $18 per person.

and corn, put some corn in there.

It still won't be as good.  Maybe they add BEER!   Cheesy

whoa, that must've been some kind of easter thing.  I've been there for brunch before and it definitely didn't cost anywhere near that much.

They do a special "Easter Brunch".  I think they will have another one for Mother's Day.

If you, or anyone enjoys keeping up with the Brewery, you should go to their website and sign up as Brew Crew Member.  About once a month they will send you a email newsletter that lets you know what is happening there.

Guess I will have to trot myself over to the Brewery and check out the black bean soup there.
I had a killer order of such at Rockola in Asheboro some time back. Thick and cheesy. My palate couldn't detect all of the ingredients however that made it so yummy.
Maybe I will experiment. I LOVE roasted garlic, so that would be a definite!

We love the Brewery here as well up in North Chatham. When it opened, it just felt good to turn right on 15/501 and have another cool spot to go to instead of Chapel Hill. I think what actually happens is that once in the while you may get a very young person making a not so great decision at the door. It is the job of the management to fix the problem, but at the same time, it's not a huge deal either. The food their is decent, the beer is great and the whole vibe is great. Would be another good spot for a non-political BBS meet and greet. I have not yet tried the To Hell n' Bock, but my wife used to love the Bynum Brown, but enjoys the Copperline now. Cheers!

I hope you give them another chance if you so desire.

oh and if you like your black bean soup as a broth with beans like the Brewery (I love that version too) then do not do this, but sometimes I puree a portion of the soup which does make it creamy. I also roast plum tomatoes, garlic, and onion (400 degrees for about a half hour) to chop up and add as well.

Maybe everyone that came to eat after you would have appreciated the manager fixing this problem.
Thank you.
