I have always had a dream to grow my own corn out in the yard. How great would it be to pick it, take it straight inside and cook it and eat it? It would be so fresh and sweet!
Of course if we're being totally honest I'm not likely to get more than half of it inside. I tend to shuck it and eat it raw

First time I tried it (growing corn), the raccoon raiders beat me to it and cleaned it out! Since, I took the "easy" way out and buy it from local farmers. I love it fresh on the cob, but I always purchase enough in season to cut off cob and freeze for some yummy creamed corn come winter time.
