Of course - I appreciate anyone who is willing to serve.

I do think that posting "anonymously" questions about Bill's workplace and support is a pathetic form of attack.

What do you think about egg face pictures, fart jokes, a 3 year drumbeat of posts attacking someone's character and supporters, and personal attacks on his family that I won't describe in detail because they were deleted by Gene when he saw them?  All done "anonymously" of course.

Seriously Heather, I hope you aren't as lacking in self-awareness that your post seems to imply.  Why don't you take some quiet time with your computer and peruse the BBS body of work by IT, you, and others who have been obsessed with Voller for 3+ years, with a fresh perspective?   And then consider who really deserves thanks for serving in the face of relentless personal attack, and who's the relative fresh face on the scene who has never experienced close to the vitriol his opponent has.

I am not talking about any of those people. I have always posted as myself. I say enough things that draw controversy that I could post anonymously and save myself some grief. But I don't - I am not afraid to post them or say them in public. Unfortunately Randy doesn't have the nerve to do the same. I think it speaks to character when he says one thing and post another "anonymously".

I am not speaking for Bill's campaign. I am volunteer and will help him on here if I can while he's working and reaching out to the citizens of Pittsboro.

I found the paper-the exact quote," William Crawford declined to respond to several messages left by The Citizen..."  So there you go.

Do you have a link?  I am not doubting you, that is just a strange quote.  How do you decline to respond to a message?

http://www.carrborocitizen.com/main/2009/09/23/pittsboro-candidates-share-common-concerns/#more-7140

'William Crawford declined to respond to several messages left by The Citizen, but according to his website he’s a restaurant manager in Sanford who “will work to keep your government as transparent for you as I can.”'

Hm, could be poor usage of the word "declined".

So how exactly do you know who is who for sure before you make a claim?

There have been many people here on both sides misidentified as someone else.

Hey, chathambooks, if you could, maybe let him know that these posts are here?  Although true that this isn't a pbo paper, it is fairly well-circulated here.

What's your definition of well-circulated? The fact that you can pick it up in the General Store.

Looks like Randolph continues to rely on people outside of Pittsboro and Chatham County for his support.

"Circulated" in terms of read, both print (regardless of where picked up) and online.

Normally I end up voting against someone in an election.   For the first time in a long time I will be voting for someone.  Good luck Mr. Crawford.

Does anyone here rely on endorsements or weigh them heavily before deciding who to vote for?

I am proud to support Bill Crawford for mayor based on my 29 years of friendship with him. He is knowledgeable, intelligent, hard-working, and principled. I'm sorry I don't live within the town limits so I could actually vote for him.

It is a good thing you have too much character to try and register illegally like Voller's buddy Lyle.

unfortunately, yes. many people carry endorsement sheets into the poll booth. the only way to counter this, if you support a candidate not so endorsed, is to get out and talk to your neighbors, personally.

people vote with woeful ignorance in local elections.
