You have the issue of Lyle renting space from Randy Voller and trying to illegally register to vote.

You have the backlash over the plenty when a local business would not take it.

And now you have them yelling at a church group trying to feed hungry people over peanut oil.

As someone else said, I thought hippies were supposed to friendly.

You also have Lyle (and his friends) presenting himself as Doctor even though he doesn't have a PhD (or MD)

A few facts:

Matt Rudolph didn't work at Piedmont Biofuels when he sent that e-mail about Antonellas - hadn't for a few months.

Afterwards he publicly apologized.

The Carolina Brewery was targeted for boycott by persons in this forum, for reasons that turned out to be totally false.  After this was revealed, no apologies were issued.  Why the double standard?

An opinion: this whole "controversy" is just typical trumped-up campaign-season tactics.

Why does Matt still have a Bio fuels email address if he does not work there?

If somebody who worked for UNC was rude to you, would that place UNC in the middle of a controversy?

Depends.  How many people work at UNCch?  How many have had problems in PBO?  How many people work at Biofuels?  How many people have had problems in PBO?

Neither WPF or me have advocate for boycotting the Brewery. We are both regulars.

As for Lyle's attempt to vote in the Town of Pittsboro election, he was stopped short because HE WAS CAUGHT. He wasn't even apologetic about it!
http://www.newsobserver.com/news/chatham/story/755230.html

The OP made no inference about the Bio-Fuels company. Only knew that their employees eat at the lunch for the needy on a regular basis.

Lyle's folks are pretty good at getting their own controversies going and Randy & co is pretty good at "cleaning up the spills" at Bio-Fuels afterward.

Yes I would have. Even as a Duke fan I would have them. There is no excuse from anyone to be ungrateful for free food or be rude to church workers.

Seems intersting that someone changed this blog to Right Wingers hate biofuels.

One correction, I am not a right winger I am middle of the road. Both parties have good and bad ideas. I find it funny that biofuels people are irritating because they seem to think everyone should think like them. That seems to be socialism. Everyone is different and they do not seem to want to accept it. Yes a lot of us are twinkie eating, cheeseburger eating, processed cheese eating people. They seem unhappy with that and do not seem to care how they let you know.
I met one at a party at a mutual friends house who tried to SHAME me out of eating a piece of Kentucky Fried chicken. Shame on her!!!! It is my choice and yes I am perfectly healthy!!!

OK, I've read both this thread and other thread on this, all at once.  The summary seems to be:  someone's husband told her that someone was rude to a volunteer at a church lunch.  No one who was present at this event has posted, complained, or even confirmed it, just someone who heard secondhand and felt the need to run off and start a bulletin board thread mentioning the incident and for some reason pulling the name of the person's employer into it, which inspired someone else to start a bulletin board thread bashing this person's apparent employer.   Apparently Piedmont Biofuels is responsible for all this person's actions and a bad citizen deserving of its own bash thread, at least in the eyes of posters whose main character trait seems to be, you guessed it

My husband does not lie and he gives factual accounts. The other people are elderly and do not even own computers so I felt this needed to come out because it was a shameful action. It just HAPPENED to be a BIO employee. If it was anyone else I would have posted the same outrage. The whole thing is to show people it was an unacceptable action.someone.
