My husband does not lie and he gives factual accounts. The other people are elderly and do not even own computers so I felt this needed to come out because it was a shameful action. It just HAPPENED to be a BIO employee. If it was anyone else I would have posted the same outrage.
And would have named their employer too? Would your lovely moral lesson be any less effective if you had just said that you heard secondhand that someone was rude about peanut oil to a volunteer at a church lunch and people should show moe consideration to volunteers, and just left it at that? Or was there a moral lesson or valuable community information to be learned from knowing where this person works?

Apparently Piedmont Biofuels is responsible for all her actions and a bad citizen deserving of its own bash thread, at least in the eyes of posters whose main character trait seems to be, you guessed it
I don't believe anyone specifically mentioned the gender of the person that was rude. Do you know this person or was it actually said here and I missed it? If it wasn't mentioned, how did you know it was a woman?

I thought mary51802 had referred to the person as "she" but I looked back and saw that she was actually using that pronoun to refer to the church volunteer, not the person whose activities that started all this, so I will correct it in my posts. Thanks.

That way at least someone from there would talk to them if they are not on BBS.

Do you have no way of contacting Piedmont Biofuels besides posting gossip about their employees on the Bulletin Board and hoping they see it? There's no other way of contacting them? And besides, if the employee was on his or her own time, and not on official business, why would it be Piedmont's business how he or she behaved at a church lunch?

Again this is wandering from the subject. This bulletin board has seen many more abusive accusations and I simply want to make people aware to be kind at free lunches. Why would I cal them and say that. They would hang up on me.
I do not hate them I just wanted the person who did it to think the next time. You are blowing things out of proportion.

Thanks. I see. I thought perhaps you knew the person in question. You know, since you seem bent on mounting some kind of defense...and by defense, I mean offense. Call it gossip if you like. This is a community message board, and whether you agree with it or not, is a forum for just this sort of thing. If people want to be outspoken jackasses to volunteers, then that is their right to do so. But one cannot pretend that Piedmont Biofuels doesn't keep coming up, and not in an entirely positive light. That's their own doing.

I'm not the one who started two threads on it and used it as an opportunity to bash someone's employer.

I think it is funny that mary has now been cast as a right wing nut job even though most of her post have been in support of a magic bus. I am still leaning toward left wing nut job .

Both peple are wrong, I am middle of the road unaffiliated. Not left or right. a little of both. I was not bashing biofuels I merely said it was one of their kids because my husband knows that as he has served him many times at the lunch. And FYI, I only started the Be Kind to Church Volunteers thread.

I must say I am not surprised as it is the same group who berated business owners for not taking the Plenty. I wish they would be like the hippies of old and live and let live.

I call it the truth about what happened at another time. Same edict applies. Live and let live. They did neither at either time. NOT BIOFUELS, a paticular group of people.
