Wahoo perhaps you should move to Pittsboro. Everything that you post is negative about Siler City. I will be the first to admit there is always room for improvement and there are things I would like to see changed, however I love this town and it's people.

Why do only three Chatham Candidates have videos? Did the other two fail to participate.

No clue Populist. Just ran across it by accident in that "mainstream" coverage we have here that OCCASIONALLY blurbs something west of RTP.

There are five there now. Two for Mayor of Pittsboro and three for Mayor of Siler City.

For those who are curious, I did not film a video with NBC because I didn't feel that it was worth the trouble.  You see, during the last election NBC did coverage on this side of the county, and I submitted a picture and answered all of their questions, and guess how many people told me they saw it? zero.   I guess it didn't help that in order to submit a video you were required to film it at their studio in Raleigh, and honestly I feel that my time and money is best spent on local advertising and talking to local people.

In my opinion, what started as a wonderful and needed idea to empower the small, disconnected progressive groups around Chatham, back in the Bunkey days, has turned into a very pushy, very closed minded, out of touch organization.

I can't believe it, I agree with an IT post.   Of course he is quoting a progressive so that helps.

The coalition has made not endorsements in any race.  They are not involved in any races.  However, the other right of center Triangle Community Coalition reported after a few votes that they supported Baldwin, Voller and Johnson.

Come on Populist! What was the number of people who voted in the straw poll.

You case of vollernumberitis continues. No ability to provide numbers!

From my understanding they were formed from DEMs, UNA, and REP as a PAC to endorse candidates on the basis of issues. Perhaps it's run it's course, perhaps there became too many cooks, perhaps their talent began serving in offices and on advisory boards, but IT has never really looked at their platforms and explained what exactly he opposes.  Also, the Conservative Voices platform on local issues appears very similar on many of the issues with less information. Read the web sites for yourself.
