No one said that it's "fraught" with errors, Randy. I think some posters are concerned though, that knowing that you are the only one who voted, you claim a victory with the "voters" at the TCC Pig Pickin. It's like a pattern with you of twisting reality to suit your purposes.

Hello fellow crazy people (levity).  An email was sent to the TCC requesting numbers. It was faster to do than, I don't know, probably writing this post....

When the results of this were sent out the day after the event, it SAID 1 vote. Bill left early to go to work - he did not vote.

well, given Jordan Lake, the water problems in Chatham County, Durham and their equivocation on cleaning up their part of the watershed, Cary wanting to tap it, Chatham having the only intake, all that, isn't it nice Chatham had at least one representative there, at the pig-picking and else where, who actually talks to these people?

This year was the first time I attended the event in Raleigh. It was held at the Brier Creek Country Club, which was developed and built by Toll Brothers. (The last time I had been there was in 2006 when Toll Brothers was still considering developing River Oaks in Pittsboro.)

After getting a seat, I greeted our host, Chris Sinclair, whom I had not seen since we had a panel discussion years ago regarding growth and growth issues at the Governors Club in Chatham County. Mr. Sinclair was the emcee for the evening.

There were a number of candidates from around the region as well as guests invited by TCC in the audience.

I spoke with some of the elected officials that I knew like Mike Woodard from Durham and I enjoyed getting to know Chapel Hill Mayoral candidate Augustus Cho and his friend Melodie Parish. (They are Orange county republicans, who both serve on the transportation committee in Chapel Hill, and we discovered that we all support green business initiatives and transit links from UNC to Pittsboro.)

Bill Crawford, Charles Johnson and myself were there from Chatham County. I spoke to Bill and Charles while we waited to give our two minute "speech".  Charles and Bill both spoke before me. Throughout the process the host had computers set up for the audience to access and read about the candidates and then vote their preferences.

I never used the computers nor voted and to my knowledge neither Bill nor Charles voted either. Most of the results I witnessed indicated that only a small selection of the audience even bothered to play with the computers and vote after the speeches.  Bill and Charles left before I did, so I imagine they never saw the "results" that indicated just a few member of the audience had voted.

Frankly, if it wasn't for Bill I would not have attended. I was curious to hear his message so I attended.

Best Regards,
Mayor Randy Voller

I believe Sally Kost has been working with the board from Cary for some time now.  They are very happy to have her up there helping them to shape up plans.

I am happy as well. we are part of a community that is effected by the runaway development in Durham, and the wealth of Cary. we cannot act like we are just a bunch of farmers ready to go it alone. we do not have to. co-operation with the area governments is a good thing.

Do people in Cary now have the right to vote in Pittsboro?

Are they all moving into Randolph's rental properties in town?
