Anyone know what the percentage of voter turnout in Pittsboro was? Seems low.

Voller would have probably lost his last election had there not been two people splitting the opposing votes and he hasn't changed a bit.
Since Voller has now won a 2-way election, perhaps his detractors can stop blaming Chris for Voller's win two years ago.

yes, 64 votes decide the election. I have no real opinion on the mayoral race, but the turn-out is a disgrace. 64 votes? next time anyone says their vote does not count, remember this. the process, the expense, the dedication of the poll workers is the same. the only thing lacking was voter turnout. local races, mayor, Bd. of Education, Judge, and Sheriff have more effect on our real lives than national races. and about 700 people voted. there will be more when the absentee and provisional are counted, but I doubt that is many. for shame!

Laugh at me if you will, but I talked to enough folks who told me Voller would win. But if that's the kind of moonbat Pittsboro wants (for those that voted him in) they deserve him. I give Bill praise for running, pretty close race for a new face in local politics. But trust me, it aint over till the fat lady sings. Mayor is a ceremonial position, I'll get active here in Chatham when Commsoiner race gets close.

This is truly laughable coming from you after all the trash and name calling you have done to Randy Voller and then to decide after he wins that the position is a ceremonial one....Randy the real joke here is you and your wishy washy posts...as for your moonbats statement...it is a joke also. By the way the fat lady sang.

Congratulations to the winners! Thank you and congratulations are in order for Bill Crawford and John Grimes as well. It's not easy to put yourself out there as a conservative republican in a traditionally democrat district but it's critical that every race have candidates representing both sides of the issues.
One thing I think we can all learn from this election is that more people need to get out and vote for local elections. The town boards, county commissioners, and boards of education have a much bigger effect on our daily lives than do most of the national elections. Obviously I'm preaching to the choir on this board but let's make sure we get our friends and neighbors out next time.
Thanks again to all the candidates, the staff at the BOE, poll judges, volunteers, and Voters.

Does seem to be an incredibly low turn-out. Early voting option should make it quite easy to go cast your say.

Please run for office. That would be the gift that keeps on giving. I'd pay to watch that race.

Congratulations to the winners around Chatham County, and thanks to everyone that ran, or helped people run, and all of the hardworkers that helped the election go smoothly.

The buses need higher seats for all those midgets riding that full bus down 15/501

You talk about this county and say nothing but negative garbage and then you want respect for all your running around carrying signs...If I were you I would focus on your blog and leave us to our "nothing county"....where we at least try to get along and make a difference.
