I just wanted to send out a heart felt thank you to Chris at Virlies restaurant. My wife and I have purchased a hot dog cart and needed a commisary to help me get legal with Chatham County. I stopped in today to ask him permission to use his place. After thinking It over for about a minute he gave us the ok at no charge. I was shocked. He gave me the tour of the kitchen and bent over backwards to help us out. I cant even express how thankful I am for him and his generosity. We need more people like him in this world. We always seem to harp on the negative things going around us and I just felt like letting everone know about the good as well. I have eaten his fried chicken a couple of times and it is delicious. I hope the good he has shown to me today is repaid to him ten fold. He is the kind of guy who deserves it. Thanks Chris.

That is a great story! Thank you for sharing it. We eat at Virlie's but have not really met Chris. Will make it a point to next time. Best wishes to both businesses.

When you're feeling slow, grab a "shot of 'spro"!

You haven't had a chance to meet Chris because he is super busy. Both he and his wife are extremely nice/generous and have a great place to eat and hang out.

Wow, to actually "help the competition" is a step above and beyond the call for any restauranteur.  Especially given the competitive nature for Pittsboro's lunch "rush", where I'm certain every customer counts.  I've always enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere at Virlie's, but Chris' gesture speaks louder than any words.  Awesome!

the court house lunch hour will still jam pack Virlies. but Chris didn't have to do it so good for him, big time. a lot of the people at court don't want a big lunch.

Chris and Meagan are truly wonderful folks and they do care about the community and Pittsboro...not onlyis the food good at a decent price but they make you feel welcome when you come in.

Friday Nights are steak nights with them serving some whooping big steaks with all the trimmings and NOW when Chris can get it he serves some of the best Mahi Mahi and Grilled Salmon I have ever eaten.....  Good folks, just like a class reunion every Friday night...ya'll come on out and help these folks stay in business in our little town.   Pam

Once again went to Virlies and had the Mahi Mahi and it was cooked to perfection and tasted great....Hubby had the Ribeye steak with all the trimmings and he is still smiling...if you have not tried their Friday night specials you are really missing out on some fine eats.

Good Food and Reasonable Prices....and the folks there treat you right....doesn't get any better than this.

My wife and I went for lunch. I had the catfish sandwich and she had the greek salad. Both were very good.
