I believe the rules of this BBS dictate that the participants of this forum do not knowingly post false and/or misleading information.  (Opinions are different from an alleged fact.)

None of us have the time to address all of the opinion driven dialogue let alone half truths and false statements.

Unfortunately, two of my former opponents, Mr. Crawford and Mr. Bradshaw have done so today on this forum. I can only assume that Mr. Crawford has made a mistake that he will correct ASAP.  My BROTHER-IN-LAW and I passed Mr. Crawford this morning on Chatham Forest Drive in a Ford F-250 that my company OWNS while we were picking up our campaign signs. In the space of few hours he has now concocted a falsehood that disparages not only me but also our Town by mistaking my truck for a Town vehicle and my family member for a Town employee.

Mr. Crawford, I respectfully request that you apologize and Mr. Bradshaw I request that you do the same.

Thank you.

Regards,

Mayor Randy Voller

If I made a mistake in identifying the truck you were rolling around in today, I stand corrected.

If you want to make the case that I did so "knowingly", you go lawyer up and give it your best shot.

I did nothing here except make an observation, and ask some questions that logically proceeded from that. I made no official complaint. I will say that, in the future, I will not make any such pointed legal observations in this place first. It was not my intention to start a bum rush of official inquiries, and I can see how raising such a thing here would evolve into that. For that, I apologize.

If you want to put the whole thing behind all of us by raising a concept like "knowingly" bringing forth "false information", I might say that you are working against your own goals.

I still did not get an answer to what I knowingly falsely accused you of.  Either correct the statement or back it up.  If you will not, then you are in violation of your own post.

The great rule follower Voller.  As long we do not count the misleading statements about Remax being the current leasing company to the property you leased to Lyle Estil so he could attempt to fraudulently register to vote.  More do as I say, not as I do?

It really does seem like sour grapes to go ahead and accuse someone of illegally using a town vehicle and employee before you actually have confirmed the facts.

Instead of saying "I stand corrected," the polite thing to do would involve actually saying something like "I'm sorry I made a false accusation." I'm not sure how much of "It was not my intention to start a bum rush of official inquiries" I really believe. Mr. Crawford's post did seem to want to start some kind of controversy and I guess "For that, I apologize." is as close as we will get to a correction.

If it is important enough that WPF calls it a 'serious allegation' than it would stand to reason that it should  also require a serious apology, instead of a passing admission of possible error. I do not think it was knowingly, but before Mr. Crawford jumps to such conclusions and actually posts an accusation, he might be advised to take five minutes to confirm his beliefs.

Charles39? CHF? Who's next in the sour grapes line?  Grin
