Bring your family, friends, and neighbors. While you're in town, don't forget to stroll along Main St and visit the shops since this is 1st Sunday. For those of you that have inquired...
Noel is BACK! He's opening up his new produce stand this weekend, April 3, 2010! What Noel has done to enhance his area has been amazing. Very creative guy!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We stopped going to the DayCares in the AM during the week. There were just too many of you needing us at 7:00 am for a
delicious, consistent, drink-to-the-bottom, lip-smacking drink! These are the words from our customers.
We are now at the Lot during the week at 7:00 AM except for Wed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please remember that we are more than just coffee. We have all types of delicious drinks for the young and young at heart! I know we may not be what you are use too seeing from a coffee(shop) but everyone has to start somewhere. In the future, we hope to be able to be in a building in Pittsboro with parking and a drive-thru but we need to let the economy recover. We sure would like a place to relax, enjoy socializing with friends, have meetings, grow, etc. etc. and we will get there. For those of you that have criticized us for what we are operating out of...you can have the most high-end building with all of its fancy decor but if you have a crappy tasting product, what good is it to be in the coffeeshop business?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The
"Name our Vixen" Contest is now over. We will be picking a name in the next few weeks and
announcing it on 1st Sunday May 2, 2010. Not only will the winner receive one free drink of any kind everyday for a YEAR valuing over $1,000 but they will be awarded some other great gifts. I would also like to put their picture in the Chatham paper and posted on our Facebook page. I will contact all those who entered to attend! We are going to have lots of fun!

We are working with
NC Signs to put some additional banner-type signs on display so we are more visible to the commuters. We do have signs on display whenever we are there now so if you are passing around the circle just glance down and stop if they are there. I know they are a little harder to see due to their size but we are working on it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our
CONTEST deadline to help us
name our coffee vixen is February 27/28 which is only a few days away. I've got a few really good names but I know there are many of you out there that haven't had a chance to come by with the crazy weather we have had this month so I am going to extend the Contest to
March 30th! Don't miss out! Who wouldn't want a free drink everyday for a year! Total value is over $1,000. What are you waiting for? See details below under Old Posts.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You asked for them and I listened! Starting Saturday (2/6/10) we will be carrying Larry's Famous Cheesecakes'
cake donuts and
turnovers! The turnovers are in apple, lemon, blueberry and cherry. You can have your donut with powdered sugar or a cinnamon sugar topping...yum! Nothing goes better with cawfee than a fresh, local made, hot from the oven pastry, right? Sorry Larry & Karen on calling the turnovers fritters. This is what we called them growing up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
COUPON: I put a coupon in this week's Chatham News/Record in case you haven't had a chance to try us out!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We still have the

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you like to
draw attention to your business for FREE? Bring our van to your site! Even if folks don't like coffee or any of the drinks we serve, they still come by just to check us out since this idea has never been seen in our area. How do you think book store sales sky-rocketed after owners started selling coffee in their stores? If this interests you, let me know.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are gearing up for lots of fundraisers too! Will be at the Monure Fire Dept blood drive on March 20th! We are also working with Max's Doggie Wash and Habitat for Humanity about doing a fundraiser real soon! We have a donation jar on the van collecting money for
"Cups for Pups" which will go to help the stray dogs via Max's Dog Wash. More details to come on the dates for these two events!
Still waiting for call backs on setting these dates.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our electricity should be finalized and we are hoping we are live by early next week (week of 1/11/10). With this said,
our hours have expanded. Here they are:
M/T/Th/F 8a-6p; Sat 9a-4p; 1st Sun 12n-6p. We will be closed on Wed. If we have an event or a prior commitment, there may be gaps of times or days where we are missing from the lot. I keep these types of things updated on Facebook and Twitter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are having a
CONTEST to name our vixen in the cup! The logo is below so you can see what she looks like. Just write your name, address, contact numbers, and e-mail address on a piece of paper providing your suggested name for her and drop it off at the van during our hours of operation.
The winner of the name we choose will receive one free drink per day of any kind for a year! Contest ends 2/28/2010.

Several business owners have approached us about coming to their place of business in the mornings one day a week or so to serve their employees. Yes, this is something we can do...we are mobile! If you are a business owner or manager and think your employees would enjoy a visit from us weekly, let us know. We can be the new and improved version of the ice cream truck that kids love to see!
This idea is really expanding for us.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We're more than just coffee...we strive in quality, consistency and customer service! We have brewed coffee, specialty coffees, hot tea, chai, fruit smoothies and our most popular old-fashioned hot chocolate! Come taste what you've been missing!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tommy from Shot of Spro here, a.k.a. Mad Coffee Scientist..... just wondering how all of you like what we're serving. I'm all about not only creating/serving what we consider to be the absolute best coffee/coffee based drinks, but want to do so consistently. So to any of you regulars that read this please give me your opinion(s).
I try to keep our beans within the critical 2-3 week point from the actual roast date MAX, which is really the biggest single factor in great coffee, with equipment/skill following. The various beans I have chosen since we started this venture seem to be working well across the board, but I'd like input just to validate my choices. Thanks to all that have stopped by for that cup of spro and we look forward to serving many, many more. If you haven't stopped by yet, please do to see what we're all about.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are currently working on having electricity installed, which will allow us to stay much longer each day for alot less overhead cost. Once this is completed we will be at the old Ford Lot M/T/Th/F 7a-7p; Wed closed; Sat 9a-5p; 1st Sun 12p-6p. Hours may vary due to weather.... Thanks!
BTW, if you want to become a FAN and stay more current on our business follow us on FaceBook at "Shot of Spro - Mobile Espresso Van"....
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thurs, 12/17/09 - we will only be open from 8am - 11am due to the issues with the generator/propane we just can't figure out. We hope to have a professional troubleshoot it Friday afternoon. We do have an event to attend on Friday and won't be at the lot. We hope to be back at the lot and running 100% by Saturday AM. We are keeping our fingers crossed...
The good news is...our HOURS are changing but it won't be official until we get the electricity activated at the site and may be able to do it before Christmas. Our hours will be as follows: M/T/Th/F 8a - 6p; Sat 9a - 4p; 1st Sun 12p - 6p; closed on Wednesday. With the use of electricity it forces us to park the van in a different spot (much closer to the building near Noel) so if you don't see us near the entrance, just look further back.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We participated in the Siler City Christmas Parade last night and enjoyed all of the positive feedback from the crowd. Ya'll rock! Yes, we are the one and only mobile espresso van in the county and Triangle/Piedmont area. With this said...we are even more excited about the upcoming Pittsboro Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec 6th starting at 3 pm. We will be at the "Pittsboro First Sunday" event near
SunTrust Bank starting at 11 am, then participate in the parade to show off our new graphics and logo, and finally serve the community at
Salon Blue & Spa from 4:00-6:30 pm. They are located at 49 W. Salisbury Street. I understand Santa is going to be there so bring the kids and your camera. You can also register to win a manny, peddy, and express facial. Thank you Lorie Barker for allowing us to join you in the festivities!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We now have
hot APPLE CIDER - Come out and enjoy some!
We also perfected the
EGG NOG Latte, yummy! With a little dash of cinnamon and nutmeg on both of these, it is a taste of heaven.
Have you ever tried a
CANDY BAR Latte? We can make Mounds, Reese's Cup, Snickers, Peppermint Patty, and Almond Joy.
Our Special is the
GRANNY SMITH CARAMEL APPLE Latte. This is absolutely delicious and has become a favorite of many and I thought Pumpkin Spice Latte's were popular.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our
logo is done! This and more signage will be put on the van, hopefully this week. Rishi from Network Cove has included it in this post, check it out!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We will be at the
OLD Pittsboro Ford Lot starting 11/24/09 thru 9 PM instead of the usual 8 PM since Noel will be selling Christmas Trees and wreaths so come on down to see us! We are going to take off on Thanksgiving Day to celebrate with family.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our original plans for Black Friday failed due to the cost involved so we were thinking of hanging out at the Wal-Mart in Siler City starting in the wee hours of the morning to catch those early birds. If these plans change, we'll keep you posted.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We will be at the
1st Annual Moonshine Festival in Madison, NC on 11/21 & 11/22/09. We'll be back at Old PBO Ford on Tuesday, 11/24/09. Visit the website:
http://www.southernculturesociety.org/shinefest.php Well..... we made it back from the First Annual 'Shine Fest in Madison, NC. It was a fantastic event for us as we sold lots of our specialty
drinks and met lots of great people. The town/setting was great, the weather was perfect for coffee and the music/entertainment was just
right. We can't wait for it to roll around next year as we will be first in line.....
We did meet one nice lady from the Pittsboro area who said she had been trying to catch us around and had to drive that far to do so,
LOL.....we do appreciate her taking the time to stop by to see us.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We will be at the
3rd Friday Art Walk in Siler City on Friday, 11/20/09 from 6-9p. Stop by for some yummy drinks! Hope to see you there.
