http://www.wral.com/news/news_briefs/story/6498803/The Chatham County Sheriff's Office arrested four Siler City men in separate busts of cocaine and marijuana distribution rings in mid-November. Chatham and Lee county sheriff's deputies and U.S. customs officials searched a residence on Fellowship Church Road. They seized two handguns, a shotgun, 4 kilos of cocaine, more than $96,000 and two motor vehicles, authorities said. Alsibiades Arrizon Santoya, 25, Ontiel Perez Gallegos, 29, and Maria Espinoza Perea, 18, all of 405 Fellowship Church Road, were each charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony manufacture of cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were being held in the Chatham County Jail under separate $150,000 secured bonds. Separately, Mark Lowe, 36, of 768 Willie Duncan Road, was arrested in an undercover operation in the WalMart parking lot by Chatham and Lee county sheriff's deputies and Liberty police officers. Officers said they seized more than 490 grams of cocaine from Lowe. Chatham County sheriff's deputies charged Lowe with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and felony possession of marijuana. Liberty police served warrants on him for two counts each of felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony selling and delivering marijuana, and felony selling and delivering marijuana within 1,000 feet of school property. He was placed in the Chatham County Jail under a $110,000 secured bond.

490 grams. what an odd amount. first, I notice it is over a pound, so further penalties apply. second, I have to wonder, was it originally a half kilo? was he shorting a customer? or did the under cover cops loose 10 grams somewhere, but not too much?

It is scary, Willie Duncan Rd is close by to me. I don't know if it was the same guy but the sheriff deputy that patrols out this way said one time that they had a guy on that road that constantly gave them trouble.

Ahh, Silk Hope, you know they were talking about you! now, now Becky we have each of us lived on roads with crack houses, or the like. it did not make us the targets, PTL. the traffic is bad, really bad, that is the first sign. the traffic consists of old beaters of cars, badly kept up, with at least 2-3 occupants. they come in, and they race out. and the hour of the day means nothing. it can be a house a respectable person occupied for years, or a rental. the traffic is the main sign. it is bad news. share this news with the sheriff. they will appear to blow you off, but eventually, if you are lucky, it pays off. in my neighborhood, it took the local "house of ill repute" tempting the 15 year old daughter of a long time resident. becky organized a local citizen watch. cops need help.

cops need help.
It doesn't do a lot of good when the courts just let them out on probation again. The poor probation officers in this county are WAY overworked because the judges don't want to send the dealers to prison where they belong. I personally know of one who was put on probation after he was caught with crack near a school and he cut the throat of one of his "customers" who was going to leave him. He violated his probation no less than 5 times before they finally sent him up.

condemning people for discussing second-hand information while simultaneously passing on second-hand information. bold move.

It looks like a misprint. The headline mentions cocaine and marijuana rings, and the first three offenders are clearly the cocaine ring. Mr. Lowe is probably the marijuana guy.
