There's no particular reason to think Mr. Aiken voted twice, or attempted to defraud anyone. As far as anyone knows, he's a model citizen who had the good fortune and talent to almost win American Idol. B. F. D.
I'm delighted to see that Junior can use a French dictionary. The words he uses are his own, however, not mine. Having been to France a few times, I can say that France is really a neat country. If they have one huge thing over Chatham County, NC, it would probably be the bread. And oh, yes, their medical system is better than ours in the sense that it's more available, but as I have Medicare, I am not personally concerned over that question.

he only voted once, just in the wrong county, in a local election. the challenge will probably keep him from repeating the error. as his kid is only 15 months old, he hasn't defrauded Wake County Schools, nor will he be able too, now, unless he transfers his actual residence to Wake County.

In other words: Bread and Circuses. Aiken, like any ordinary person, will have to face the consequences of making that mistake. Assuming there are consequences, which I kind of doubt. So it isn't really a big deal...as long as it doesn't spur a debate about whether he should have won over that other guy. Stoddard or something like that.

I'm shocked that Junior agrees with me about Mr. Aiken. As far as bread goes, anyone who hasn't eaten real French bread hasn't eaten bread. That's just a fact. I think Chatham County is a great place to live. Weaver Street Bakery does a pretty good job of approaching real French bread.

If you're ever in the mood to try another valiant attempt at French bread, or other European breads, try Guglhupf. It's in Durham off 15-501. Their bread is excellent. And yeah, I'm quite familiar with the real thing. There was a time in my life that I used to go to the local market every day and pick up fresh bread in a cloth sack. Of course, that was quite a few years ago and many miles away. http://www.guglhupf.com/catalog/breads/breads.html

Actually it's more common than you may think, which is quite a statement on the quality of the Chatham County School system.
