Oh, no!  This is going to be an interesting conversation when the wife gets home.

BTW, a bunch of beagles were tossed into your neighbor hood today.

from today's chat list:

Subject: Beagles found on Old Graham Road

Last night I found 2 adult female beagles and a young beagle (possibly
beagle mix) wandering in the middle of Old Graham Road not far from
Rock Rest Road.  One of the females has some age on her (grey muzzle,
etc...) and the other one has had puppies, although doesn't appear to
be nursing right now.  The puppy has an injured hind leg and has
trouble walking.  If you know who these dogs might belong to please
contact me with any information that might be helpful in finding out
who owns them.  Thank you very much and I appreciate any help I can
get in placing these dogs either in their original home or in a new,
loving home.  They are very affectionate and walk well on the leash-
it appears they would make wonderful family pets.

Maybe if you stay very STILL, your wife will just think you are wearing some goofy Beagle slippers and will ignore the both of you laugh
Hopefully the little animal lovers network on here can help find the owners of these animals or new owners.

Ramona is taking care of her now. If no one comes to claim her, she will have a good home there. My wife went and approves of Ramona. Other than that one time with me, she has had pretty good people judgment skills.

Ramona is a peach, I just hope a beagle is a good fit.

I am so excited about this dog!! What a sweet heart. She had a good bath. Slept with me. Great snuggler. Slept in late till 8:30. I had to wake her up to go out. LOL The first thing that I saw come out from under the blanket was her tail, just a wagging. I think she is very happy. I know I am. Thanks so much chrstnhsbndfthr !!

I am happy for both of you.  It was already getting hard to see her go from our house.

We were calling her Mabel. (We threatened to call her Belle, but we thought Mabel was more suitable for a southern belle like her. She has dignity and beauty and behaves with appropriate decorum, while still bestowing love.  (Can you tell we miss her already?)

Ramona, how is it going with "Mabel"? Thanks so much to you and CHF for working it out to find a safe haven and home for this pup! Loved the tale of the little wagging tail coming out from under the covers!
