Why does this have that tabloid feel to it? I wish we could let them handle this, and show some restraint. These are good people going through a difficult time, and I would let them work it out without public gossip.
\ These are good people? Good people dont cheat on their spouses. These are selfish people who had no respect for their spouses or their kids. A trooper should be held to a higher standard than what he has displayed. They are now paying the price for their selfishness. I hope the temporarry gratification was worth it. Well you go a head and judge em Jesus. I'll refrain.

WPF, your comment was out of line. I am not judgemental. Just saying we need to think about the consequences before we act like this.

out of line? the two couples were separated at the time, meaning no longer spouses. he brought the kids to the house with him, and what they saw, they saw because they wanted them to see it. Eric Andrews drove from the house with the couple's two children, telling them that he had the gun because "mommy was with a man," according to a domestic violence complaint filed by Jennifer Andrews.
men who cannot let go, who must own their wives or kill them are wrong headed. men who bring their kids to witness their violence are beyond understanding.

Hmmmmmm...........Bet you can't HONESTLY and FACTUALLY answer that one. Everyone needs to stop assuming this actually happened as it has been told. It would also be nice if we all knew the truth, but we don't. None of us were there. My wife could go to the police and tell them I pointed my gun at her. I would likely be arrested, have newspapers report about me and be slammed on public forums like Mr Andrews has. Would that make me guilty? Maybe not, but it sure would ruin my reputation as an honest businessman and loving husband and father. Think about it. It could happen to anyone.

Another question comes to my mind. If the situation were as severe as reported, why did the highway patrolmen not come to the aid of the wife and her children?

Bottom line is the whole thing is sad and avoidable on both sides. I really feel for the kids. I was put in a similar situation when my parents divorced when I was ten so I can relate.

How does this thread or the media attention affect the kids? I bet the media would not care if it could not put "State Trooper" in the title.

This is a sad situation with injured parties on BOTH sides of the aisle...as for the kids and what they saw? It does not matter because I am sure they have HEARD an earful of garbage about BOTH of their parents. It is just too bad the so called adults in this situation did not THINK about the consequences of ALL their actions before this occurred.
These people should be allowed to deal with THEIR PERSONAL BUSINESS WITHOUT our need to know, We don't need too know what happened nor do we have the right too know what happened.
I feel truly sorry for all parties involved but the kids are the ones who suffer during these situations.
Eric Andrews has always seemed to be a nice guy and I am sure they both are okay people, just wish they had thought about the kids during all this and that it was not as public as it has been. THe News sure did crucify this situation and all who were involved.

Wise words Mamacash. I think we should give these folks a break. After all WE don't know, and we have NO cause to caste judgment (unless called for jury duty).
