If you like Sun Records-era rock-a-billy, with swing, jump blues, early country, (and even a touch of surf) influences, you would likely enjoy the music of the Straight 8s.  The 8s are a 3-piece combo consisting of guitar/vocals + upright bass + drums.

We'll be playing the General Store Cafe on Friday, Feb 12th.  You can also check out MP3s, links to videos, discography, calendar, and press kit information on the new website: http://www.straight8s.com    Hope to see some of ya'll there!

We'll try to be there. Sorry we missed Elvisfest, really wanted to be there, but old-folks disease got the best of us that night.

I had an eye out for y'all but didn't see ya.   GSC is closer to home, has an earlier start time, and less expensive (NO COVER!) than a festival wrist band!  Plus, you've got plenty of time to "rest up" for the show.  :-)

Big thanks to everyone who came out and braved the "storm" on Friday.   :-)    It sure was pretty, but luckily didn't slick the roads too bad.   It was nice catching up with old friends, and also meeting new neighbors and folks from around the area.

The 8s have a number of dates in the works for Pittsboro, Bynum, and elsewhere in Chatham County, so stay tuned for more details!
