Snow Delays Young's Explanation To Judge02/01/10 06:33PM
http://www.wchl1360.com/details3.html?id=13349Former John Edwards’ aide Andrew Young’s appearance before a Pittsboro judge, regarding the court-ordered return of materials belonging to the former mistress of the would-be president, was cancelled due to weather.
Last Friday, Young was ordered to explain to a judge why he shouldn’t be held in contempt for refusing to turn in the photographs and videotapes. Last Thursday, Hunter filed a motion at the Orange County courthouse for a temporary restraining order prohibiting Young from promoting, distributing, and/or selling the items. She says the videotape is of a personal and private nature and the photographs are of her and the former senator’s daughter Francis Quinn. When served with the papers by Major Charles Blackwood of the Orange County Sheriffs’ Office, Young politely refused. Orange County Sheriff Lindy Pendergrass says Young called his attorney before declining to hand over the materials but didn’t cause deputies any problems.
Young’s appearance has not yet been rescheduled. Young is in New York City for scheduled and highly publicized media appearances for his new book, “The Politician,” which includes an exclusive radio interview with WCHL.
