Northwood Varsity Girls Basketball Defeats Raleigh Charter 61-27 2.5.10

The Varsity Girls Basketball team built a 30-13 halftime lead en route to a 61-27 victory over Raleigh Charter Friday, February 5 at Northwood High School. Three Lady Chargers scored in double figures led by Casey Norris who scored 14 points, while Shelby Wolfe added 12 points and Olivia Oakley added 10 points. Annie Cleaver and Kerri Snipes chipped in 6 points each in the win for the Lady Chargers. Olivia Oakley and Shelby Wolfe tied for the team high in rebounds with six rebounds each, while Casey Norris grabbed 5 boards on the night. Oakley led the team defensively with 6 blocked shots, while Norris collected 5 steals and Wolfe 4 steals for the Lady Chargers.

The Lady Chargers remain in second place in the Carolina 9 Conference standings with the victory. The Lady Chargers host conference rival Cedar Ridge at 6 today following the JV Girls game which features the undefeated JV Lady Chargers at 4:30 today.
