So does anyone have a guess as to how this plays out? I'm seeing forecasts ranging from a dusting to as much as 8 inches in the Triangle. A glance at WRAL's Doppler shows some precip already falling in Chatham as of 11:30 AM. WRAL is also calling for a high in the 40's today. I don't think that's going to happen.

Hm....looking at wunderground and weather.com, idk about snow, but with predicted below freezing temps tomorrow a.m. and Thurs. a.m. + rain, could be slick driving.

This is the place to go for weather predictions around here (and I think it's the source for chill's map): Raleigh Weather Examiner http://www.examiner.com/x-4053-Raleigh-Weather-Examiner

So, I'm going with 5", especially since he predicts 6-8 hours of snow during the nighttime.

That is the source for that map ChefMenteur. It's started some mixed precip here off Mann's Chapel as of 2:00. Here we go.

So much for the theory that this storm was supposed to start as rain and then switch over to all snow. We skipped the rain and went straight to sleet and snow.

I'm hearing we will have 60's during the weekend. Spring can't get here soon enough.
