I have also received some anonymous mail indicating that people have been banned from this forum for bringing up the NE Chatham bias.

BANNED from this forum for BRINGING UP the NE Chatham bias? NOT TRUE!

It was anonymous; I'm only repeating what I received.  I suspect it might be that they did something more to get banned, but as I have no identifying information, I have no way to check further.

So do NOT repeat untruths!

I also am perplexed by the divide you are drawing here Tritech (is your name Jody? I thought I saw that on here somewhere)

I live in Pittsboro but serve all of Chatham County. I believe that most listed on "The Best of Chatham" do as well.

The facts are, quite simply..get ready for this...THERE ARE NOT MANY BUSINESSES LOCATED IN SILER CITY. Period. That's not a dig, just the truth. I want this to change - I hope that Siler City can thrive with businesses that can serve our entire county.

I have seen your posts on here and sent a customer or two your way. But I also don't have many customers in Siler City as...get ready for this...THERE ARE NOT MANY BUSINESSES LOCATED IN SILER CITY.

Sorry to be a smartass but your posts are starting sound bitter and I am not sure how likely I will be to send more your way. Relax dude. You are being given a voice here. Free advertising - for your business AND your new forum.
Well, I don't mean to be bitter.  The survey has a flaw, I pointed it out, and was snubbed for even making the observation.  If it was a common board troll, I'd not have cared much, but Gene himself is the one that dodged the question and called me a name.  That's really what bothered me more than anything, and piqued my interest in the whole subject.  It doesn't help that even as I type this, I continue to be spit on by other board posters for revealing a conflict that has existed here since well before I ever showed up.

Anyway, it's obvious that this is getting out of control now, so I'm bailing out of this thread!   deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse deadhorse

Wow, if this is what we get from you on this Bulletin Board, I am not sure I want to visit your new BBS!

The East West bias on the BBS has been here for a long time, we have been told to deal with it. Siler is a great place to live, it is laid back and friendly and I am proud to be a part of the community. It is unfortunate that so many Eastereners turn their nose up at the West and vice versa.

It is unfortunate this thread had grown into this however it has been an argument that has been growing for quite sometime.

It was a great place to grow up in. It had a vibrant downtown (obviously, or all those buildings wouldn't be there!). PBO was the "ghost town" back then. Things change.
I hope Siler will continue on a path of revitalization. It would be good for the county as a whole. Would benefit the outskirt communities/towns. It was once the "epicenter" of business in the county.
There are many good businesses there, if people will just seek them out!

I don't get what the big hoopla is all about.  It's a user forum.  Posters post what they post. What's the bias?
