If I remember correctly the county got grant money to have the parks cleaned up & new additions added. Look at the park and lake on 902 just outside of town! What a Joke! Where did the money go? Hum, look I will make the money disappear! I'm sick of this County and the people who run it! It is time that we start to voice our opinions on issues like the parks. This town is starting to become a dump. Go ahead and say well if you don't like the town the move, I will be waiting for those comments, but It's not that easy to pack up and move when you have a family. It is time that we start to let the county know what we think and not let up until the issue has been addressed. Sorry just venting.

Don't forget the county bought land for the NW community park, nothing has happened with it either.

The park off of 902 is ok, it is new but has nice playgrounds and a decent trail, the gravel road in is a mess however.

Well I'm glad you think so. IMO it is a dump. Look at the lake. I grew up just 5 houses down from there. It was always clean and beautiful. Me and my grandfather would walk down there and sit and talk, fish and just watch the birds play. I took my seven year old son down there last week and told him about all the fun that I had down there when I was his age. He said to me it looks dirty dad! I told him that it was not always this way. If a seven year old can see it........ I don't know, it just seems to me that the town and county will spend money and just stupid stuff, but the things that really need to be addressed get put on the back burner. But what do I know?

is it a county park? go to the County Commish. meetings and speak.

is it a city park? call the mayor, and go to the City Council meeting, and speak.

make noise where it is heard. I applaud your spirit. just do the legwork. get a neighbor to go with you.

you will be absolutely amazed what one citizen, or a group of neighbors can do, so give it a try.
