Dear Friends, Acquaintances, Animal Lovers, and Chat List Readers,
Several weeks ago, Mike and I agreed to foster parent 2 previously feral cats who had been relinquished to C.A.R.E. (Chatham Animal Rescue and Education). At the time all of their cat foster homes were full. (I think they still are.)
Although we already had 7 outside cats, we have received assistance from C.A.R.E. in the past for getting a few of them "fixed." How could we say no?
I'm so glad we were able to temporarily care for these brothers. They have entertained us immensely!
The problem is this: we are in the process of putting our home on the market. While it's being shown, we will be living in our camper with no room for inside cats. I've gotten so attached to these guys that it's difficult to let go of them, but we must.
PLEASE, PLEASE go to
http://www.chathamanimalrescue.org/ There are several cats (and dogs) available for adoption. My guys are trying to find a forever home with two strikes against them: (1) if possible, they need to stay together b/c they are so bonded with each other; and (2) it seems that black cats aren't as adoptable as non-black cats. I knew that about dogs (seems they look scary) but just recently found out that black cats also face discrimination.

As you'll read on C.A.R.E.'s website, these boys have been neutered, are up to date on shots, have a microchip, etc.
If you've read this far, thanks!!!
