Mens' Golf Wins Season Opener Over Carrboro and Jordan Matthews

Congratulations to the members of the Mens' Golf team as it won its first match of the season on Thursday defeating Carrboro and Jordan Matthews in their season opener at Chapel Ridge. Peter Thielgard led the field and the Chargers with a red hot nine hole total of 37, earning him the medalist honors for the match. Northwood's Justin Marcinkiewicz tied for second in the field of 35 with a total of 39. Travis Dice carded a 40 and freshman Jordan McClamroch added a respectable 41 to help lead the Charger Golf team to victory. The team total of 157 was four strokes better than Carrboro's team total of 161 and 28 strokes better than Jordan Matthews team total of 185.
