The email below was sent out by Del Turner, who happens to be running for School Board in Chatham County. She also runs Chatham Organizing for America, otherwise known as the “Obama Worshippers” . Ms. Turner was responsibile for using Blaike Bibbs, a child, to support the progressive agenda of Obamacare at the recent rally in front of Bob Etheridge’s office in Raleigh. It is interesting that a candidate for school board supports this child missing school for this event. Will all the children in Chatham be next to be used for indoctrination, if it serves Ms. Turner’s agenda?

Please note her words below in the email, that call “teabaggers” treasonous and immoral. Do you believe you should be called a traitor or immoral because you believe the Obabma Healthcare plan is wrong for this country? This woman must not be allowed to serve on the school board in Chatham or any county! Spread the word. We must stop her!!

"A passionate plea from the Organizing for America crowd!

From Del Turner, Chatham County Organizing for America

***ALERT! THE TEA BAGGERS WANT TO GET IN OUR FACE!

White House reporter and author Anne Kornblut, who gave an awesome talk about women in the political process Sunday at McIntyre’s Book Store in Fearrington, told me this past Friday evening that reps and Senators were catching a lot of heat from the opposition.

I had no reason to disbelieve her but did not know how really serious it was until THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF OFA called me this evening and told me the tea baggers are planning to demonstrate in front of Congressmen Etheridge’s office on Thursday March 11, 2010, to attempt to persuade him NOT to vote for the President’s proposal on health care. The nerve of them!

Kane asked me how many people could come to Raleigh from Chatham on Thursday to counter their move. I told him probably anyone who was not working nor had some other life-threatening commitment WOULD TURN OUT even in the predicted wet weather for that day, because those treasonous tea baggers offend our Chatham pride!

We have shown we ARE powerful beyond measure; we shut them down at every turn and our President has put together a bill we can live with. I trust Congressman Etheridge implicitly to stay on our and the President’s side, but it would be foolish to take anything for granted. If you cannot get there on your own, I am willing to pick up anybody from anywhere who wants to go and beat the demons back from our good Congressman and show him we have his back.

The tea-baggers are only attempting to distract us from calling constituents to have them put pressure on House and Senate reps to pass the President’s health care proposal; don’t let those immoral culprits win! HELP US DURING THIS WEEK OF ACTION any way you can: Do not let this be our Waterloo!

Are you kidding me? I assume she's a Democrat, speaking out against the right to have a different opinion? And fight for it? Alrighty then.

If this is true, I certainly do not want her making decisions for my children, who are in Chatham County Schools.  Oh my!

she is not speaking against anyone's right to speak, just exercising her own right to speak.

"Coffee Party USA aims to reinvigorate the public sphere, drawing from diverse backgrounds and diverse perspectives, with the goal of expanding the influence of the People in America's political arena. We do not require nor adhere to any preexisting ideology.  We encourage deliberation guided by reason amongst the many viewpoints held by our members. We see our diversity as a strength, not a weakness, because we believe that faithful deliberation from multiple vantage points is the best way to achieve the common good.  It is in the responsible and reasonable practice of deliberation that we hope to contribute to society.

Coffee Party USA is made up of people acting independently of political parties, of corporations, and of political lobbying networks.  To this point, all products created and hours logged for Coffee Party have been carried out in the spirit of volunteerism.  In the coming months and years, we hope to transform our disappointment in our current political system into a force that will return our nation to a course of popular governance, of the People by the People for the People.

We are diverse — ethnically, geographically, politically, in age and in experience.

We are 100% grassroots.  No lobbyists here.  No pundits.  And no hyper-partisan strategists calling the shots in this movement. We are a spontaneous and collective expression of our desire to forge a culture of civic engagement that is solution-oriented, not blame-oriented.

We demand a government that responds to the needs of the majority of its citizens as expressed by our votes and by our voices; NOT corporate interests as expressed by misleading advertisements and campaign contributions.

We want a society in which democracy is treated as sacrosanct and ordinary citizens participate out of a sense of civic duty, civic pride, and a desire to contribute to society.  The Coffee Party is a call to action. Our Founding Fathers and Mothers gave us an enduring gift — Democracy — and we must use it to meet the challenges that we face as a nation."

I wonder if "corporate interests" above includes non-profits and unions?  Or are some groups of people (corporate bodies) more equal than others?

She can call people who oppose the bill what she wants but I find it funny when people against speak out the left gets soooooo bent out of shape.

I am nonaffiliated and think the bill is wrong just by its nature. That does make all of us teabaggers, we just do not want it passed.
Expanding Medicaid (underwater as it is) and cutting money from Medicare, and not regulating current insurance companies do not make this bill viable.

She needs to let her know people can protest what they want. Obama supporters always do. (no I am not Republican)

What's "treasonous" is blindly supporting a health bill for I doubt Ms. Turner, and sadly I know many congressmen have truly read and understand its contents and implications to our society and economy. And personally I think its "immoral" to use a slang term like "teabaggers"  when referring to a legitimate and powerful movement like the TEA (Which is TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY for Ms. Turner and all other cliched liberals) Party. All politics is bereft with hypocrisy but the left takes it to extremes. While Ms. Turner bristles at the the thought of anyone protesting her precious "My Obama" she plans a "righteous" (in her mind) counter protest. The nerve of who???

What Ms. Turner is really saying is that she believes that it is OK to protest and ask that Etherige take money and property away from others and give it to her and her friends.

What she would never do (I assume) by walking up to "the rich" with a gun, she's more than happy to have Etheridge do for her.  Whereas she wouldn't walk up to her neighbors and hand them her own hospital bill, she seems more than happy to first hand the bill to Etheridge and then cheer him on as he and his armed buddies force her neighbor to pay it.

Her "passionate plea" contains no reason, no logic, no explanations of the rightness of her beliefs... just juvenile name-calling, a call for organized bullying and theft, and little else.

As the Serpent did in the Garden of Eden, he includes just enough truth in the lie to fool a couple of people, but be clear that a half-truth is by definition, a lie.

Oberman himself was one of the people who has made this into a slur. Though most of the people in the movement refer to themselves as Tea Partiers, especially since Oberman and his ilk at MSNBC began associating it and making jokes about deviant sexual practices, these people and their acolytes CONTINUE to use this as a slur.  The original use of the word in the movement was coined as sending those tea bags to congress and the President as a tax protest reminiscent of the Boston Tea Party.

And personally I think its "immoral" to use a slang term like "teabaggers"  when referring to a legitimate and powerful movement
