JV Womens Soccer Wins over Cedar Ridge 5-0

The JV Women's soccer team started their season off right last night with a 5-0 win over Cedar Ridge. Tasha Rothenberger got the first goal of the season for the chargers, after beating a defender and going one on one with the goalie. She was shortly followed by Alison Gould, who made the most of a loose ball in front of the net in traffic. Maria Vanderford rounded out the first half with her first goal of the night, and started off the second half with another goal. Sierra Atwater finally capitalized on one of her many opportunities in the second half for the 5th Charger goal.

Diane Thompson did a great job in the net for the Chargers, and Kathryn Lloyd anchored the defense. The Chargers are off to a great start, but have a tough match again Chapel Hill at home at 5:00 on Friday.
