I just saw 3 Sheriff's cars with 1 beat up old Bronco on the side of 64 in front of Citgo outside Pittsboro. No accident, no other people standing around other than the officers. Couldn't tell if anyone was in the Bronco because the drivers window was plastic & duct tape. Anyone know what's up with this obviously dangerous vehicle?

Right, nothing to fear, after all plastic sheeting and duct tape can help protect you from terrorist attacks.
Seriously, though, when I passed there were just two police cars - looked like one of the officers was getting in the truck - to move it, maybe? They were in 64's right turn lane for MG Church Road.

My husband saw it in action today, going south out of Pittsboro. He was coming north into town on 15-501, and was almost clobbered head-on by a car full of teenagers headed south, passing on a double yellow line. He and the person he was with said they were just in the process of commenting how nice it would be if a policeman had been around, when Lo and Behold, the Mustang came flying down the highway, lights flashing and siren blaring. I'm really glad it is out there.  |

Passing on a yellow and crossing over is a common activity on S. 15/501 - would love to see more police action.
