You'd better reread Snowball's comment and then mine; I quote her/him correctly.
"The public" is individuals and that's exactly what your type keeps losing sight of, along with your education "policy".
So genius - which individual do you want to build educational policy around? The one that has three square meals a day and caring parents or the one that is lucky to get school lunch and rarely sees his parents?
You're right about that, 1911, the public IS individuals. Sadly, not all of the public's school kids come to school equally prepared and equally supported.That's why teachers have to make some decisions about what's best for that public's common good.
Amen - of course then 1911a will be mad because we're leaving behind individuals. Of course - he could come and volunteer at a local school to help but that would effort instead of complaining.
