What name does Hammond hide behind on this board?
There are several regulars that have disappeared since Hammond was blocked. Maybe it's a coincidence or maybe they all went on vacation together. Maybe he was Beel or Clyde........ they fell off Beel, Clyde, Truth, Billy Ray, Analyst,? beel ended his account, which may explain RJ Leeb's flowery good-bye. he has not ended his account, however. nor has BillyRay. or Clyde. Truth seems to be gone. as is Bobsyouruncle. and Randy. |

Beel, in all of his different personalities will be missed. He did a great deal to advance conservatism, by showing the dark side of the liberal elitists.

Thank you Patrick, it is good to know and understand some of these personalities. It certainly explains many things for me.
I have to say though, if we are getting rid of the Coalition, then George must go too. It is time for a change of thought in this county, and George to me represents that old guard, and the old way of thinking. I prefer a step back to the middle, and more moderate candidates. No matter how hard the Coalition tries to tie Stewart, Bock, and Petty to the past through scare tactics, I believe it is time for a new direction. This slate of candidates can offer that to us. Just my two cents.

If Lucier would distance himself from Starkweather and the non-elected members of the coalition I could support him. As I posted earlier Mr. Lucier seems to trying to have it both ways. IMO it is time for him to take a stand. He either agrees with the tactics of the coalition or not. If he does not he needs to say so and not allow them to use his name any longer. |

A bit over the top with all the drama for my taste, but hey, it's part of the scene here I guess.
I must be one of the older posters here, as I was posting on the original BBS before Gene moved it to Simple Machines.
I think the Coalition deserves credit for getting rid of the rubberstamp crew that came before them, with push polls and fake addresses and the like and the county is better off because of that. I do agree they have made some serious tactical, personal and strategic errors and seem to have let personal beefs guide policy in many cases. I also like how they get under the skin of some folks. I don't know the whole story about all these situations, so I'm not going to touch those. I will say Mr. Barnes has been my favorite commissioner while I have lived here though. He is certainly an honest man and I respect him for that. I will also say that although I did not agree with him, that Tommy Emerson did take my calls and speak with me. Most of the rest of it just makes me chuckle.

at one point, Commissioner Barnes was negotiating a deal with Cary, to get us water and waste treatment, because Chatham owns the only intake site on the lake. what happened with that? did the Coalition kill it? I supported them 6 years ago, but I have many bones to pick with them recently. I would love to know what happened to that water deal, before November rolls around. so would many other small businesses. |

Have you talked to Former Commissioner Barnes about that water deal yet? We could start another thread dealing with that issue, and maybe some others.
Seems this thread ran its course pretty quickly, which I'm just fine with. It did what I intended- granted, it did seem, in retrospect, a bit of the ol' melodramatic soap opera someone mentioned. Sorry about that- issues will be the point of my posts in the future- but, I was making the point that if the Coalition can sling it, I can sling it right back.
One thing is certain- I haven't heard one person deny what I said was true. I believe that speaks volumes.
And Barroso has, yet again, disappeared. Mark, I'd say your credibility is shot.
