For the first time in over four months, I've seen deer strolling across my floodplain. Three BIG bucks spent about an hour sauntering around the area early this afternoon, nibbling at shrubs here and there, mostly looking bored. All their antlers are still fuzzy, but not for long. I counted two 8-point bucks and one 10-point buck. I don't think they'll be quite so friendly with each other much longer.

Here's hoping they'll chase off the VERY FAT groundhog that seems to have moved into the same area in the last month.

Where are the coyotes and bobcats when you need them?  Wink

Seems they spent the summer at my place, devouring anything they could laugh Come to think of it, haven't seen them lately here, thanks for taking them in Wink
LOL, they were lounging around out in the yard with the cat this summer!

We saw our first set of big bucks Sunday morning on 902. They were bopping all over the fenceline and road, and finally running off. Seems like fall is here.

If anyone needs to cull out deer, please send me an email: RowboatNC@gmail.com
I am a bow hunter and the season opens next Saturday.  I am also an experienced and accurate rifleman.  We could wait until rifle season starts, if you like.
I can help with your property or tune up your computer as my thanks for permission.  I hunt several other properties in Chatham County in the Pittsboro / Siler City area, also.
Thanks...

http://www.ncdeerhunting.com/

try this link, it is on the front page. Seems like bow season starts Sep 11th , muzzle load in early Oct and the rest mid Oct to December 31st.
