The Woods Volleyball team participated in the East Wake Academy Jamboree this weekend, winning 1 and losing 2. The volleyball team is in its third year and is coached by Laura Ackerman, a Woods High School Spanish teacher. The ladies have their first home match tomorrow, August 31st at 4:30 in the Woods Gym against Trinity JV and then another match at home on Thursday, September 2nd at 4:30 versus Voyager.
The Woods Soccer team has selected its 2010 squad and begins its season on Wednesday, September 1st at 4:30 against rival Franklin Academy at the Woods field. The Soccer team is coached by Bob Holden, a Woods parent.
The Woods Cross Country team, in its second year, is hosting its first meet of the season on September 9th against Grace Christian and Cresset Christian. The team hopes to build upon its success from last year.
