Join a Ranger exploring the unique features of Parker’s Creek sub impoundment area of water by canoe! See wildlife and areas rarely seen by park visitors. Paddle will begin with basic instruction on paddle strokes and canoe fundamentals. Once the instruction is over, participants will be able to put their new skills to the test by paddling the area with a Ranger. The paddle is perfectly suited for all skill levels with ages ten years and older. All equipment will be provided (PFDs, paddles, canoes and safety gear). Dress according to the weather and plan to get a little wet. The paddle is FREE except for the entrance fee.
Time 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., meet at the restrooms down at the swim area of Parker’s Creek Campground. There will be a $6.00 entrance fee per car to enter the park.
