What do you think about Andy's in Pittsboro?  I don't think I will be going back.  I have no clue who was in charge.  People playing around, arguing with one another and just down right rude to customers by ignoring them.  I went in at 8:25, ordered a kids cheeseburger meal, they messed up the order (which I understand mistakes happen, I am OK with that) and I finally got my food at 8:55!  I know I should have demanded my money back and walked out, but I didn't.  I left frustrated and I think they knew it. They did give me a fried cheesecake, but still I was frazzled by the time I left.  Another thing that concerned me, I did not see a sanitation poster anywhere!  I was in there long enough for it to pop out before my eyes.  I realize it is fairly new, but goodness they scared me to death!  My perception was that there were way too many people working which made a lot of chaos.( I counted 9 people at 8:40)  It seemed no one knew what the other person was doing.  There was a tip on a table and the waitresses had no clue who worked that table.  They had no idea who was suppose to get the tip.  I don't know, but it will be a long time before I go back.  The food was good, but nothing to wait 25 -30 minutes for.  I was the only customer in there that ordered.  Everyone else was picking up orders or already eating. This was the first time I have ever stepped into an Andy's.  Maybe I went on an off night.  Who knows?  What has your experience been at Andy's? Just curious.

Fried cheesecake? Does cheesecake really need to be fried? The nerve of them not to give you a free angioplasty and insulin injection with that.

Where is Andy's?  I know Al's, Elizabeth's, the Scoreboard, the Soda Shoppe, and the Flamingo, but this is the first I've heard about Andy's.

My mom went the other day.  She said it was like a "chinese fire drill".  They ended up putting her order to the side because they had no idea who ordered it and it was cold when she finally got it 30 minutes later.  They did however give it to her at no charge.  She said she saw no one in charge, they all looked lost and were very rude to her.  Doubt she will be back either.

Hi-

I've gone 3 times...first was just fine, the last two pretty much like people have stated.  My food sat there and I had to approach them for it.  But they have always been nice.  The problem is there is no manager, at least one that I could identify.  But I will give them points for effort and attitude.  I also think it takes time to iron out the kinks.  I'll give them a few more chances as I'm happy there is another alternative for last minute food that doesn't involve a 20 minute drive.

Hello, My name is Kenny Moore. I am President and Founder of Andy's Cheesesteaks and Cheeseburgers.  Since the inception our company in 1991 we have made customer satisfaction our top priority.  It disturbs me greatly to be made aware of such bad experiences in one of our locations. And I would personally like to apologize to you folks who have given our restaurant in Pittsboro a visit and had anything other than a wonderful dining experience with complete satisfaction.  We are actively making necessary changes to correct these issues and hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with the Pittsboro community. Thanks again, Kenny Moore

I appreciate Kenny logging on and responding.  I also sent an e-mail to cooperate discussing the service.  I am thrilled that things may turn around.  I will give it time before I return, but I hope that it moves in a positive direction. I know that Andy's has not been opened too long, but they have been opened long enough to get organized and in a routine.  I love that Pittsboro has another option for an eatery, but when the employees don't give a hoot if you are there or not it makes you not want to go back.  I realize that sometimes there are off nights, but comments that I have heard not just from here but other local people I know have had the same experience.  The food was good, but customer service makes you want to come back or not.  I was raised that you treat people the way you would want to be treated and that is what I do.  My way may not be for everyone, but when you are working with the public, that is the way I think it should be done.  Some may disagree with me and that is fine too.  I hope Andy's will last in Pittsboro for a long time because the burgers are good and that fried cheesecake?  Well, you have got to try it!

I waited 35 minutes for a hot dog and a milkshake. 4 people attempted to make my milkshake. one would start then ask the other could they do it, alot of people running around and not alot getting accomplished.  They need management very bad. It is just really sad , because it is nice to have a different restaurant that has good food but the service is terrible. I swore when I left I would never return, but if the management gets better I may give it a try later.

The lack of management issues and general confusion are things that smart restaurants work out BEFORE opening. Perhaps this group was in too big of a hurry to open the doors? I've eaten at Andy's near Campbell U and it was fine. I think we'll wait a bit longer to try it here.

I just left this place a little while ago, 10.00pm, it was the last money that the store will ever get of mine, when I got there, it was like a hang out for thugs outside, cursing running that mouth, went in tried to order, employees standing around arguing who was going to take my order, well I could go on but.........
Anyway, ANDY's SUCKS !!!!!! Angry

Went yesterday for a couple of milkshades for the kids.  Friendly, quick service BUT
very DIRTY.

Really surprising for a store that new to be so dirty.  I saw food on the floor. Trash etc. in the dining area.

I'd give it a couple of weeks and let them regroup. I do think the "hang out" issue may be a problem...but where are teenagers supposed to go in this county that doesn't even have a movie theater?
