In Cary there is no drought

 Our commissioners, apparently believing we would never face any water problems or shortages, torpedoed a deal that would have given a lot more water to the county and cheaply too.  What were they thinking?

Probably the same thing as you when you decided you wanted to own your home rather than pay rent for the rest of your life.

Really?  Then they sure went about it differently.  When I decided to own a home I bought one first. THEN I gave notice.  I didn't burn down my rental house before I had another place to live purchased.  With teh water deal the commissioners abandoned a great deal of water and have nothing to replace it with.

That's the sort of tough calls you have to make when you are an elected (or even unelected) official.  There was just as much--or more--criticism of spending a lot of money developing the water system of another county instead of developing our own.

The "nothing to replace it with" isn't true.  Talk with the commissioners who voted that way and ask them why they did it. That's the fair thing to do.

I did listen.  The claim that we would get the Jordan Lake water was no believable because we have never been approved to get the Jordan Lake water.  We still haven't.  I wasn't a prophet, but even an average guy could see this coming.
