Well, if Knight is elected it will probably save the county some money. The only thing he seems to harp about at meetings is the "high" commissioners salaries. Probably to be true to his beliefs he will want to serve for free.

Knight will split the Democrat vote and Andy Wilkie will waltz right in.
I'm thinking it is just as likely that Knight will split the Republican vote with Wilkie. If Knight were really a Democrat, wouldn't he have run as such in the primary? To do otherwise would seem dishonest.

At least Bob Knight is a trustworthy, honest person. I can't say that about the Coalitioners.

Thank you Claude. If any big money has ever been made by being a commissioner...it's been in kickbacks by the unscrupulous.

Which coalition candidate will he be running against?

Would that be the same Mike Cross that the coalition spent a fortune campaigning against or is there another Cross you are referring to?

Who cares about the Bluegreen communities. I don't. maybe some of the folks you claim to be "educating" do... either way your knowledge of local issues and attitude are all anyone could hope for as it applies to someone who claims to be educating their neighbors. "I don't know and I don't care!"

Yes, the apple does not fall to far from the tree. He was put in by the coalition. He received votes this time from the split coaliltion. Go figure.

Attempting to brand Mike Cross as coalition is a dog that just ain't gonna hunt. You should move on to something else.
Mr. Cross drew his support from people who (a) approved of the job he was doing and (b) did not like either Starkweather or your own Ms. Davis.
So why don't you just stop being such a sore loser?

So if the coalition deserts Mr. Cross in Nov. Mr. Cross will have the same platform as Bob and Andy in Nov. I wonder which one will win, now that you say Mr. Cross has disavowed his previous supporters, (the split coalition.) By the way, my dog hunts real well. He just chased some wild turkeys down on the farm the other day. He also loves to chase deer.

Sounds like you are also losing your on-going struggle with logic.

Cross has not changed a single position that I am aware of. He supported all but one of the crazy schemes of the Coalition. (Scuttling the Harnett water deal was too stupid and costly even for Cross to support!) But I suspect they return to him. Better to have a candidate that they can give orders to 99% of the time rather than one who would serve the whole county.
My bet is that in the end Starkweather and the other Coaltionistas finds a way to support Cross.
