Hey fool, just because you have been caught in another lie does not mean you have to abandon a thread.

I am willing to bet that people that live in Chatham Forest care about possible businesses being established at the only entrance of Chatham Forest.
But for almost 10 years a business has been in existence at the entrance of Chatham Forest. It's the Voller Real Estate Office. Residents of Chatham Forest have been passing the office for years now on their way in and out of the neighborhood. Nothing new there.

I was talking about businesses that attract a fair number of customers and their traffic on a daily basis.

So what's your point Chucky?  whining

As far as anyone knows this building will continue to be just what it is now: office space.  To suggest that Voller wants to turn it into some type of business which would be detrimental to the neighborhood is JUST PLAIN STUPID, because if someone believes that they'd have to believe that as a guy with his own personal residence and multiple rental properties in Chatham Forest he'd act purposely to hurt his own property values. LOL Rolling

Yup, that sounds like something he'd do alright.  You nailed it Chucky!

Will the Mayor get the proper zoning to operate commerical space, or will he continue to use the residential zoning?

Check your facts.  He already has proper zoning.

According to Pittsboro's zoning ordinance, 50 Chatham Forest is legally grandfathered in as a "non-conforming office use".

My understanding is that the current owner is okay, but if he sells the property to someone else (which is what he told the HOA he intends to do), it will have to be rezoned.

What will Voller do with the playground equipment he spent the HOA money on?

I don't have a dog in the fight.  Closet thing to it is a friend that bought there and via was under the impression that the office space was to quickly become the "clubhouse" to those who lived there...just know that they were disappointed it's still an office.

Non-conforming.  So it cannot be sold or transfered to be used as anything else BUT a real-estate office.  Period.  It is NOT zoned as commercial big guy.

Now, how about shining some light on those post-moratorium lots you added and how the town planner's signature got on the documents.

Come out, come out, where ever you are...

So, there was never any intent for the "sales office" to become a "clubhouse" as people who bought there were told? My friends no longer live there, but just curious as to why part of what they were told at buy seemingly never was the intent?

Then why was it used as non-real estate related commercial space before Voller bought it?

Good question.  Maybe Voller can answer it when he gets back to town.

Why do you accept this claim at face value?  Who has actually come forward and stated that they were told it would be a club house?  Avowed Voller-hater Chucky39?  Who else?

I just know my friends were told the building space behind the now basketball, whatever area would become a clubhouse when they moved there.  They did not move from because of that not occurring, but i do know in their time there they felt like a lot of things that were indicated to occur when they bought, never came to fruition, nor did it seem it ever would. It did disturb them that they felt they had been mislead. It is no longer an issue for them. They no longer live there.
