There seems to be a general consensus on the town board and with the professionals at town hall (town attorney, manager, etc.) to try and sweep it under the rug.  No one wants the town to face the embarrassment and the reporters.

The embarrassing part is that certain people brought baseless charges against Voller and when they were called on their BS they had to run away with their tails between their legs.

This is tooo funny.  Let me get this straight.  A majority of the town board have conspired to hide illegal activities?  Is that what you're claiming?  Really?  Which ones?  Gene Brooks?  Clint Bryan?  Hugh Harrington?  Chris Walker?  Bill Terry?  Paul Messick?  They're all part of some unholy cabal conspiring to protect Voller.  Riiiiight.

They were paid with penalty interest a long time ago, as per the law.  End of story.

Voller Realty and Construction sent an open letter to the town in which they stated very clearly which improvements they would make on Springdale: those imrovements stipulated by their original approval of Chatham Forest by the town.  This seemed enough for Hugh Harrington, who called for a vote on the matter when the letter was read into the town meeting minutes.  Chris Walker blocked this vote however.  Why do you suppose that is?  Long story short: the Vollers have agreed to pay, and the ball is in the town's court now.
