I ask, how do you "stage" a human to tree collision?
Cheney just showed his MEAN, HATEFUL demeanor again (in W. Va.) and what was McC "thinking" with his snickering remarks about Obama falling off the chair at the sound of a popping noise?  MO, MO'S

My sources have said that a passing car had reported a body floating in the river as they passed over the bridge. EMS and rescue were notified and started a search. No one was found ( thank goodness)

There is a homeless man who calls himself "Wolf" residing on an island in the Haw River. He has been there for about a month and accesses his "home " by canoe. He was brought to the attention of law enforcement when a canoe was stolen from the old Bynum mills river shoreline area.It was suspected that he took the canoe, but he has been cleared of that.

thats some excellent snooping. thanks for the info!

SONNY Bono, former husband and singing partner of superstar Cher, was clubbed to death by hitmen on the orders of drug and weapons dealers who feared he was going to expose them, a former FBI agent claims.

Ted Gunderson, now a private investigator, has told the US Globe tabloid that Bono, who served as mayor of Palm Springs for four years, did not die after hitting a tree on a Nevada ski slope in January 1998 as everyone believed.

"It's nonsense for anyone to now try to suggest that Bono died after crashing into a tree. There's zero evidence in this autopsy report... to show such an accident happened. Instead, there's powerful proof he was assassinated.

"This was an evil plot that was carried out to almost perfection by ruthless assassins," Mr Gunderson told the paper.

The former agent, who has been researching Bono's accident for the past decade, said top officials linked to an international drug and weapons ring feared the singer-turned-politician was about to expose their crimes - so they had him killed on the slopes.

Bono, an experienced skiier, was ambushed on the slopes by hired hitmen, who beat him to death and then staged a tree collision, Mr Gunderson said.

Garboon...you are good I have a list of people...maybe you could find like....Jimmy Hoffa.... Grin Grin ...if I stay on the board long enough there is no telling what I will  learn!!! Good Job

So, exactly what did all the LEO find at the Haw?  Have not seen anything formally mentioned about it. Just the chatter on the BBS.

sometimes the BBS really is better than a good old mystery murder book.

if the "gypsies" are giving away alcohol AND stronger stuff i might go down to the bynum bridge and howl for awhile tonight... but if they are giving away anything they definitely aren't real gypsies. i don't have any interest in going out on the rocks so i wonder if they'd accomodate me if i hang a 5 gallon bucket over the rail on a rope? i'm guessing they are probably just ultra depressed woofpack fans... with the howling and whatnot

I am with you Clyde..real gypsies don't "give away" anything...but if we have a problem with "undesirables" where is the county deputies and the sheriff in all of this....Why has there been no investigation into who is on the island? Or is this another "wild Story" on the BBS....good reading though.

The key to good 'shine (if you don't make it yourself) is to KNOW who made it.   Long stories - some day - on amother thread.  I did grow up in the Moonshine Capital of the World ya know!

This is the one I was looking at, not a bad price, you can even get smaller ones for less.

A motorist was going across the haw river bridge, they saw some kids in the water swiming, they were throwing their arms up/down playing in the water, the motorist thought they may be in trouble, so they called 911, members of Pittsboro Fire Department and North Chatham Fire Department responded along with First health and LEO, all was well. Kids having fun !!

Mystery solved, now can anyone go to my thread on this and that and tell me the mystery of the "Field of Fish" is all about?  I know someone knows the story about it.

There is a group of 10-15 men and perhaps one family living on an island in the Haw and a canoe belonging to a UNC student was stolen. A N.C. Parks Ranger went to the island but did not find the canoe. Only one man was on the island at the time. When the canoe was stolen, some high school aged kids saw a man paddling away with a chicken in the canoe. There is an article coming out in this week's Chatham Record.
