Gene, can you break out the AG and/or Charter school discussions and bring this back into focus for us that are interested in the subject topic.   Maybe that is not the protocol/etiquette?   Just thought I’d ask.    Thanks.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll have to do it this evening when I get a chance to sit down and dissect this thread.

Let's try an experiment.  The subject title is an important subject matter however another  spirited discussion has started within the  thread.

Gene has agreed to break the material out this evening.  Instead of Gene working this evening to break out posts, How about each author move their own post as they see fit.  Then delete them from this thread.".

May be more effiecient.  May not offend anyone for anything of theirs not being where they want it.  Kind of like teaching our children to clean up after themselves?

To get us started, I have created a new thread titled "AG / EC Programs"

Maybe - Just an idea  Maybe a bad one  Just trying to get the thread back.

Could you give me a tutorial on moving posts? I looked under Help (where I learned to format tables) and couldn't find it.
Thanks

Hi Munn,  the only thing I know to do is cut and past.  Maybe Gene will take care of it in the end.   Does not look like my experiment will result in any movement.

Thanks

moving threads that way is too much trouble.  If you want the thread back on topic, start talking about the topic.  You have created at least as many off topic posts talking about how we're off topic and should move our posts as we did talking about the AG program.

Conversations evolve, they spin off.  Particularly when the original topic isn't really all *that* interesting.  If you're so eager to talk about who's going where, have at it!

I apologize in advance for any perceived snippiness.

Nothing to perceive.  Tone and words say it all.

I wish you a happy day.  Really     Smiley

that's the thing, the "tone" doesn't exist outside of your own head.  It's very easy, when someone is saying something you don't like or disagree with, to perceive it in a "snippy" way, but that doesn't mean it is.

Right.

And it is even easier to BE snippy when someone says something you do not like or disagree with.
