I will say we have an excellent teacher and that is the ONLY reason I'm not more vocal about the class size.

He's handling just about as well as it can be.  I'm not sure if or what the other classes at NW are that are overcrowded.  I'm sure there are a few.

Like mia said, there was a fairly straightforward fix to Harrison.  the 4th graders were in their new classes half a day Mon and then started full days on Tues I believe.  My daughter did not have to change classes, she just had 6 added to her class to bring it to 25.  They ended up moving one 2nd grader from each of 2 classes to the other 2nd grade class and that brings all numbers in line (They were 25, 25, and 22, now will be 24, 24, 24).  The class taught by the old 4th grade teacher will be 1st grade and not a combo class.  I heard tonight that those younger kids will not make the move until Dec to allow the teacher time to fix her room, make new lesson plans, etc.  I still think it stinks to move kids 3 months into a school year!
