Wow!  What a great role model you guys are to your families and community.  Freedom of speech gives you the right to be rude and disrespectful to your neighbors.  Never really heard it explained that way.  Interesting concept.

Ya gotta admit there's something downright funny when somebody who uses "hate" in their user name complains about nasty. Huh

No doubt that I was waiting on that comment.  I knew it was coming.

But I hate UNC or I hate the color orange or I hate mornings is a little different than me personally attacking you.  Maybe not to the readers of this BBS though...

Jay, and others.  Voller's attorney offered a contract to the town where the town would pay 30K and he would pay the rest to open Springdale Dr. to CF.  The town board has not voted on the proposal yet.

If he asked for 30, then it only cost 20 and he will keep the rest.

Is that your official position, Mr. Deviney?

Where the hell have you been this whole time? Finally, someone has brought some reason to the BBS.  Thump

Why bother trying? Just change the channel or stop watching.

You know what's funny to me is you are on a discussion board and there is Freedom of speech period...I may not like what you write but I don't say you can't write...It has been a while since you guys had a Screw Randy Voller posting BUT the last you guys had about Springdale Drive...I decided there had to be at least 3 sides to the story...Yours...Vollers...and then somewhere in the middle was the real deal story...

I can see 4 reasons for Springdale Drive to be opened:

1. It would help the congestion and traffic danger at thompson Streeet and Hillsboro Street.....but especially from Thompson turning right or left onto Hillsboro Street....am I right?

2. I have only been in Chatham Forest twice and driven around...but...is it true there is only two exits...the one at the beginning of Chatham Forest and then one on a smaller street {I am not sure about that one} but it would seem IF you had to evacuate that large of a development you could really run into a problem with traffic congestion that could be a nightmare...am I right?

3. I would think residents of Chatham Forest would find an access to 15-501 a convenience for traveling north or South on 15-501...and as an added benefit there would be less traffic congestion downtown at 5pm to 6:30pm during travel time home....am I right?

4.I don't know about you guys but getting onto 15-501 trying to get to Bellemont Station or out into town should be easier if there was a route a development this would have access to...am I right?

I think opening this road makes sense...I am attempting to join a conversation and discussion...not a bitch session about the Mayor or his wife or Chatham Coalition...I do not live inside Pittsboro City limits and I don't pay property taxes in Pittsboro...my only attachment to Pittsboro is the emotional attachment of living in the county on the east end all my life.

I read this History of Springdale drive and all the concessions that Voller Reality has been asked to do...they have done it...then the board asked for something else and Voller did it..when is enough, ENOUGH? I don't know anyone who would keep jumping the hoops for a small town mayor and board who are all friends and neighbors and if you look from the outside they were never going to open this street for this development. It is as plain as the nose on your face that these guys did not want that road opened and they did not recognise Chatham Forest in the 90's and I am not sure they did in the early years of 00.

I read this and it says the sub-divsion has been at odds with the exiting Town of Pittsboro subdivision regulations adopted in September of 1993. These regulations specifically speak to a public street with a dedicated and accepted public right of way which affords access to abutting property and meets the standards of this ordinance and the most recent North Carolina Dept. of Transportation minimum construction standards for Subdivision roads....so this road should have been opened in !993 if I read this right...am I right?

This is the kind of issues I tried to bring up in a thread I started about the Watch in Pittsboro...the new road access at Marketplace is now being built...there is landscaping at the old Ice house property..so maybe this will be fixed someday...Is there anyone in charge of making sure that all construction and renovations in Pittsboro are done in accordance to the ordinances....because when you look around it has not been happening for years way before Voller came around....am I right?

If you don't like the way the conversation is going then you have the inalienable right to not read it or respond to it. after all this is a discussion board. Belle has the right to her opinion....I would not call her a blithering idiot...she is one of the smarter people on this board especially when you are discussing historical facts...they don't come any smarter...what is really the problem here is she does not agree with you and your views but that does not make her an idiot....it just means you have to think harder or insult her. But she is a big girl and takes her big girl pills and does fine. And I don't always agree with her but I share her love of sarcasm and quick wit...and she pi**es me off sometimes
