ChathamArts, the Chatham County Arts Council, is a not for profit organization that supports and presents the arts and artists in our community. We encourage community participation in the arts to enrich the quality of life of the county's residents. We foster arts awareness and education, and we encourage the use of arts as a tool for economic development. ChathamArts encourages all people in Chatham County to experience, and participate in, the arts. We promote local artists and Chatham County as a center for the arts. The arts unify a diverse populace and help to unlock creativity in all aspects of life.

On the first level of The Old Granary Restaurant is the Fearrington Folk Art Gallery, offering original works of art for sale by some of the Southeast's finest Folk Artists. Featured artists include Sam "The Dot Man" McMillan, Tim & Lisa Kluttz, Danny Doughty and more!

Roger Person, an eclectic artist, relocated his studio/gallery, Person to Person Art, to Siler City, North Carolina after a five year unsuccessful search throughout the southwest for a emerging art community. After reading about the North Carolina Art Incubator project and a visit to the area, a decision was easy and the process of relocation was underway with no looking back. In the past year two buildings in the historic downtown have been purchased and renovated for galleries and studios. Twenty five of Roger’s large outdoor sculptures are installed at his new Siler City home. Roger works in many mediums. His first work was in flat stained glass. Soon he added glass etching and carving, as well as wood, metal and clay sculpture and painting, to his repertoire of talents. His pieces are often combinations of various materials and mediums. His sculptures range in size from a few inches in diameter to sixteen feet in height. The large metal sculptures he designs are fabricated using his engineering drawings and patterns. Smaller sculptures are fabricated by the artist.

Photographer Missy McLamb has recently opened a contemporary photography gallery at Fearrington Village. The gallery promotes and sells contemporary photography from fine-art photographers and photojournalists who are based throughout the country. The gallery also houses the offices of Missy McLamb Photographers, a full-service photography agency.
