The Chatham Conservative Voice supports a strong friendly business environment in Chatham County in order to increase jobs and revenue. Government should not needlessly hinder economic development in our county.The Chatham Conservative Voice will provide a truthful and positive voice within our county for conservative principles and liberty as defined by the founding fathers. We will educate, we will be informed, we will be effective and represented in every election. Our mission is to protect our freedoms.

Above all else, we recognize the importance of education in the support of a sound democracy. We are deeply concerned about our county, our state, our nation, and our world. The Chatham Coalition is dedicated to bringing real positive change that will benefit the entire county. We are a coalition of Chatham County community organizations and citizens. This umbrella organization supports local candidates who back our platform of smart growth, quality economic development, excellent schools and open government that encourages citizen participation.We believe Chatham elections must be focused on the issues which shape our community. The Coalition pledges to hold elected leaders accountable to their campaign promises.

The Chatham County Republican Party is made up of a dedicated group of Republicans who share in the basic ideals of the party. Ideals such as smaller, more controlled government, lower taxes, managed growth, and a belief in the individual make up the party's philosophies. The party seeks to insure that as the county grows it will do so for the benefit of all county residents. The Chatham County Republican Party is dedicated to building a grassroots organization to support Republican candidates. The county organization is building a strong precinct program and reaching out to county leaders to build a strong network and base for candidates. All registered Republicans in the county are members of the Chatham County Republican Party. Active members are those who support the party financially and with volunteer help. Your active membership will help the party elect candidates and provide information and service.

Chatham County Democratic Women focus is to: Stimulate women voters to greater interest in government and party procedure through knowledge of the history, traditions, principles, achievements and platforms of the Democratic Party; Encourage women to participate fully in all areas of the political process, including running for political office; Inform members of the needs of the people and community and of the government's responsibility to meet these needs; Research the ability and integrity of candidates who seek election (primary and general) to local or state office, and publicize the results to the membership and community in order to vote intelligently, so that the party and the government may have officials of the highest standards; Support actions and legislation in city and county government, the General Assembly and the Congress of the United States that conforms to the principles of the Democratic Party; Provide information for use by elected and appointed officials concerning qualified women available for elected, administrative and appointive positions; Work to improve voter access, protection and the election process; Organize and participate in voter registration drives;

As a father of three children attending public school, I wish to represent Chatham County in the important decisions impacting our education system. There is a critical need to build new schools to meet the needs of a burgeoning population and to renovate existing facilities to bring them up to quality standards. The challenges go even further. There is a need to integrate the various boards and committees in a common focus on Chatham’s future. As an original appointee to the County’s Strategic Plan Development Committee (SPDC), I was active in developing the approved plan. For Chatham to be successful we need to foster the important connections between growth, infrastructure, community involvement, safety, employment, affordable housing, and economic growth. All are important to the success and quality of life in Chatham County. All are important to the quality of our education system. I believe that the Board of Education, Board of Commissioners, the Planning Board and Economic Development Corporation need to have ongoing dialogue on how each can work with the other in reaching common goals. We need to include citizens and non-profits alike in this vision. Discussion needs to transcend beyond the simple budget conversations. The Chatham County School system needs to get ahead of the curve. There is competition for high quality teachers. We need to get creative on selling Chatham County as a quality place to live.
